This entry is a discussion of how teachers and students can use relatively simple and accessible recording equipment to find out more the local community and the people who live there. Everyone has a story to tell, and older people have many stories to tell about their lives, their families and their work. If these stories are recorded and the sound quality is good, they can be played and replayed on local radio programs for everyone to hear, appreciate and learn from. These recordings can be a way for community history to be documented and saved for future generations.
